Student Heads

There are six student heads at Trinity College: two Heads of Arts, two Heads of Non-Residence Affairs and two Heads of College. Heads are elected in week one of elections at the beginning of every March. For the 2017-2018 academic year, the elected heads are Katrina Li, Victoria Lin, Lukas Weese, Mitch Nader, Julianne de Gara, and Bardia Monavari.

IMG_9367Hi! I’m a political science specialist who focuses on comparative politics in contemporary Asia. As a co-head of NRAC, Mitch and I are hoping to curate and maintain a comfortable commuter space within our Buttery office. Come visit us for yummy snacks and even better company!

In my spare time, you’ll either find me stuck on the TTC, sleeping, watching RuPaul’s Drag Race, or doing some combination of the three. I’m always happy to chat!

IMG_9122Hey everyone! You’re probably already stressing about university and future employment, and who can blame you, you go to Trin. As Co-Head of College, I’m responsible for representing Trinity Students in the greater scheme of the college, the university and the alumni scene.

As a fresh of the boat who landed in Canada circa 2014, I too know what it is like to start off at a university in a city you’ve never been in with people you’ve never met. So come to me for any advice, whether it’s which major to take, or how to apply for research positions, or which restaurants to go for the best Vietnamese pho after midnight.

I’m also resident head of Whit, which will always have some snacks and beverages to get you through the heat, cold, and stress of U of Toronto. Please, please, please come visit me!

HEAD OF ARTS:  Lukas Weese

What’s up Trin!

Congrats and welcome to Trinity! My name is Lukas Weese and I am so excited to be serving as your Co-Head of Arts, along with Julianne de Gara. I am going into my graduating year, pursuing a double major in Global Health and International Relations. I am a HUGE sports fan (follow my podcast: Weesesports Inc.), and love cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs, Raptors, Blue Jays, TFC, Carolina Panthers, Florida Gators Football and North Carolina Tar Heels basketball.

I look forward to serving as the Head of Welch, the focal point place for all things social and fun next year. Welch common room is your common room so make sure to swing by for a memorable time; whether that is watching sports, an unforgettable movie or playing FIFA.  As Head of Arts, I look forward to engaging the Trinity community with a vibrant social calendar that enhances the student experience. If you have any questions about Trinity, courses and first year life, please do not hesitate to email me at or message me on Facebook! !!! Let’s have a GROOVY year Trinity!!!

Hi everyone! I’m a psychology and cinema studies double major and your Co-Head of NRAC this year! Katrina and I hope to develop a bridge between the residence and commuter lifestyles at Trinity, and make everyone’s time here as fun and accessible as possible.

HEAD OF ARTS: Julianne de Gara

I am so excited about this year; I can’t wait to meet all of you! As a Head of Arts I am here for any questions, comments or concerns you may have– no matter how silly or stupid you may think they are. For those of you who already know me, I never stop talking, so stop by No-Name Common Room whenever you need a conversation buddy, a shoulder to cry on, or even a good snack.

Though I love Toronto, I am an Alberta girl through and through, born and raised in the fine city of Edmonton (the better Albertan city, if you’re wondering). I’m entering my third year (yes, I am the baby of the group!) of English, Anthropology, and Sociology. I am also an avid member of Alpha Gamma Delta, the academic sorority on campus. Feel free to ask me any questions about sororities, getting involved at Trinity, or just the meaning of life!

HEAD OF COLLEGE: Bardia Monavari

Greetings! I’m pursuing a double major in International Relations and Contemporary Asian Studies, and I’m honored to be serving as your Co-Head of College for 2017-2018. As we enter our 4th year at Trinity, Victoria and I are set on making the college a more vibrant and accessible environment for all students. I’m always down for a chat, and I never take myself too seriously, so stop by my room in Massey if you ever need someone to talk to. Go-to topics include: Game of Thrones, Premier League (specif. Liverpool’s imminent title win), Kendrick Lamar, and Kaytranada.
